Fashion is an important part of our every day lives.  We use it to get dressed every day!  That is why I am so proud to announce the addition of Raul Penaranda to the SkinMDny team. 

Raul was born in Cali, Colombia. He grew up in Caracas, Venezuela and moved to Miami, Florida with his family as a young adult. In 2000, Raul relocated to New York City where he was offered a freelance design position at Liz Claiborne, while enrolled at F.I.T and Parson’s.

Over the next ten years, Raul quickly made leaps throughout the industry. His portfolio includes work from some of the industries top fashion houses such as Oscar de la Renta, DKNY and Tommy Hilfiger, along with industry giants, Liz Claiborne and Kellwood. He has held key positions as Creative Director of Merchandise and Trend Services, Senior Designer and Textile/CAD Designer.

During an interview at New York fashion week 2010, Raul acknowledged, “My intention is not to reinvent the wheel in fashion, but to add some innovative spokes; to use my talent, vision and experience gathered in New York City, the fashion capital of the world. I believe that, regardless of the current economic downturn, the market is ready for a new designer who has fresh ideas, distinctive style and is backed by a well-structured company. I do not know the formula for success, but I do know the formula for failure; trying to please everyone. I intend to stay true to my beliefs and vision as a designer, distinguish our collections from the rest of the wheels in the race and give our customers what they want: Exclusivity and refinement.”

In 2009, Raul decided to make one of his long time dreams a reality and opened Raul Penaranda LLC to house his self-titled collection.

Tickle Lipo
Tickle lipo is a cannula which wiggles at the tip instead of occilating back and forth like the PAL (power assisted lipo) Microaire Cannula – which has been in Vogue Magazine for 15 years and well proven that Tickle Lipo is basically a gimmick!  SAFE lipo using the Microaire oscillating cannula system uses three different techniques to break up, aspirate, and redistribute the fat for a very safe, no risk of burning or scarring, and very uniform fat removal.  The Tickle method is just a different way of wiggling the cannula and really has no advantages over PAL with a single cannula and it can not compare to the SAFE technique of three distinct passes with different cannulas.

Safe Lipo
The technique of SAFE lipo is an evolutionary advance with an even better result than the Micro Cannula (tiny holes) Power Assisted Liposuction it is based upon. The power cannula liposuction uses no heat or laser radiation – which can damage the skin. It uses three different types of cannula. Breaks up the fat after the local anesthesia is infiltrated. Then a different power cannula to suction out the fat. A third pass with another cannula to safely redistribute the fat.

This leaves no ripples which allows for use of very tiny and accurate cannulas for precise correction. It promotes skin shrinkage which is as good as any laser liposuction or ultrasonic liposuction with less expense and much less time. There is no risk of burning the skin with the resulting scars that lasers and ultra sound can cause.

SAFE lipo in summary is the latest advance in time proven safe technology which has all the benefits of the more expensive, dangerous and time consuming techniques while giving the best possible result.   The postoperative garment stays on for 5 days then you can resume normal activity.
